How do I know which product best suits my needs, InTask Pro or InTask Personal?
InTask Pro is our flagship product. It is designed to manage projects which involve multiple user collaboration and easy communication between team members who have been assigned to a shared project.
InTask Personal is designed for single user project management and also allows you to evaluate InTask Pro, free of charge.
Why would someone use InTask instead of MS Project?
InTask is designed to help projects in their daily tasks, allowing fast iteration between the different parts of the project, helping the end user (ex. developer) and the manager (ex. team leader) handling a complex project.
In InTask we make every thing straight forward with little as possible over head.
On the other hand working with MS Project requires a lot of over head time and from our experience it is mainly used as a resource tool and not task management tool.
There is also a different in cost, InTask is only 99$ per user while MS Project starting at 700$ per user.
What is the different between InTask and Outlook Tasks?
With Outlook Tasks you don't have any control on the task after sending it, Send and Forget!
On the other hand with InTask you have all the control over tasks as long as you want.
With InTask you can follow tasks history, create reports, view tasks on Gantt chart, document
management and much more.

I get an error message when trying to connect to the database!
In most cases, this error occurs when you've entered the wrong host name.
In SQLServer the default host name is as follows, unless set differently during the database installation:
ComuterName\sqlexpress (check that you have entered the correct backslash '\')
Note that in this example the computer's name is 'informatica'.

What does agile task management mean?
Agile development is characterized by fast interactions between R&D and QA.
InTask allows for very rapid insertion and management of tasks, as well as managing project and subject versions,
automatic sending to QA and the release content report.

What does the InTask Pro installation package include?
InTask Pro installation includes:
1. Server Installation.
2. Client Installation.
InTaskPro Database Installation requires a one-time installation on the admin PC and a connection to an external database.
InTaskPro Client Installation can be installed on any user PC and connects to the configured database that is selected during the server installation.

Remark: InTask Personal includes Client Installation only and does not require connection to an external database.
How can I back-up what I've created on InTask?
If you are using InTask Personal, simply select System > Backup and save your data to a file.
This file can later be reloaded to your system by selecting System > Restore.
Keep in mind that this is a brute force method which saves all the data and database schemes to one file and restores the scheme and all the data from this file when needed.
You should only use this file recovery method if there is no other way to recover your data.
When working with InTask Pro the database can be backed up using one of your standard database system tools. You should perform database backups on a daily basis!

InTask's version control supports all file types.
The most commonly used are:
