InTask Pro installation has two parts:
1. Database Side - This must be installed on a dedicated server or on you own machine
if you work alone. All data will be stored in this database.
2. Client Side - Every developer, team leader and QA person should have
InTask Pro client application installed on his computer.
The application connects to the database and retrieves all relevant data for the user to work with.
Remark: Installing the database is needed only for InTask Pro edition. InTask Personal edition doesn't support
multi users and comes with its own proprietary database.
Installing the External Database
InTask Pro currently support Microsoft SQL Server (including MSDE, 2000, 2005 and express)
If you don't have database installed, download a FREE Microsoft SQL Server Express from here.
The databases is very simple to install and offer installation manuals.
Note: In the near future, MYSQL and Oracle database support will be available as well.

The first time you run InTask Pro, a database connection wizard will pop up enabling you to connect to the database you or the administrator have created.
The only information you will have to provide to this wizard is the database server (host) name and the database log in user and password if needed.
If you not supply user and password, the connection to the database will use your windows user for authentication. Windows authentication considered more secure.
Important Note: In SQLServer the default host name is the ComuterName\sqlexpress,
if not chosen differently in the database installation.
In this example the computer name is 'informatica'.
